As the youngest of five siblings, Shane was exposed to many 70’s kung-fu and 80’s horror movies at an inappropriate age. When his brothers weren’t dressing him up as Arnold Schwarzenegger from Commando, his sister was dressing him up as Julia Roberts from Pretty Woman.
Thus, Shane’s lifelong love of film was born.
Shane Grant has worked in various construction jobs, as a chef, a Property Manager and an English and Drama teacher, but with a near-encyclopaedic knowledge of film, his first love has always been obvious.
As a member of Moseley Writing Group, he writes and publishes short fiction under the pseudonym Patrick Campbell. This is invaluable as an idea incubator, allowing him to test stories on an audience at an early stage before committing them to the screen. His work has been published in various online and print outlets, including Go West Magazine, Once Upon a Crocodile, and CommuterLit.
